If your teeth are getting a bit past their best, there are a few options you should look into when it comes to your future set of teeth. If you still have your original teeth but they’re maybe not at their best then getting crowns may be the solution for you.
Crowns are placed onto what is left of the original tooth and look exactly like a tooth. They are placed individually on to separate teeth and if getting all of your teeth done can be rather expensive. Also they aren’t as permanent as the likes of the implants as they are rooted to the original tooth which will eventually come out over time.
If money is an issue then dentures are probably the answer for you. Dentures are false teeth that are made after a mould of your mouth has been taken by the dentist. Although they are the cheaper option, they have a reputation for being quite uncomfortable.
Now, if you are looking for something that has a bit more permanent than crowns and slightly less embarrassing than dentures, then dental implants are definitely the way to go. An artificial anchor is inserted into the gum line and then the implant is attached to the screw-like anchor. This procedure is much more invasive than the previous two options yet at the finish of the procedure you have truly permanent set of teeth.
Implants can only be done privately whereas the other two are available on the NHS at a price. Implants can range in price when it comes to different practices in certain parts of the country so it is a good idea to do your homework and find a private dentist with a good reputation and one that isn’t ridiculously overpriced.
You just have to do some research before making this decision to go down any of these routes.
